DIN 45 is the narrower of the two common HaseMed canister threads. Before ordering, check the neck of your canister: this pump is dedicated to DIN 45 necks. Getting the thread right means the pump seats flush, the seal holds under repeated stroking, and the dip tube reaches the bottom of a standard 5L or 10L container without flex or leakage.

How to Use

• Check the thread: Confirm your canister has a DIN 45 neck. If it is DIN 51, order the DIN 51 pump variant instead.
• Fit the pump: Remove the canister's original screw cap, insert the dip tube and hand-tighten the pump collar firmly onto the DIN 45 thread until it seats flush.
• Prime: Unlock the head if required and press several times until the medium reaches the spout and flows smoothly.
• Dispense: One full stroke delivers 30 ml. For larger doses (e.g. 60 ml or 90 ml), repeat the stroke the required number of times.
• Between uses: Keep the canister upright, lock the pump head where possible and wipe the spout tip to avoid drying residue at the outlet.
• Product changeover: Before switching to a different medium, flush the pump thoroughly with clean water and allow it to run clear to prevent cross-contamination.

DIN 45 vs DIN 51 - Which Pump Do I Need?

HaseMed offers this pump in two thread variants to fit the two common canister neck sizes used across European medical and hygiene supply chains. The size refers to the canister opening, not the pump itself:

• DIN 45 (this product): Designed for canisters with a DIN 45 neck, frequently used for 5L ultrasound gel, electrode spray, and certain disinfectant and soap canisters.
• DIN 51: Fits the wider DIN 51 neck found on many 5L and 10L cleaning and disinfectant canisters. Choose the DIN 51 variant if your canister thread does not seat on this pump.

If in doubt, measure the outer diameter of your canister thread or check the container's technical data sheet before ordering. A mismatched thread will not seal and can leak under stroke pressure.

Important Notes

Use only with suitable liquid media. Check material compatibility before use with high-viscosity, solvent-based, strongly acidic or alkaline products, as these can damage the polypropylene body or seals. Rinse thoroughly before first use and whenever switching between products. Protect the pump from prolonged UV exposure and heat during storage, and flush with clean water after extended idle periods so the suction tube and piston remain free-moving.
